Paul O'Brien is the 3D texturer of Boston Cartoon Company. Paul uses Autodesk Maya and ZBrush for 3D modeling. Texturing is done in Photoshop, ZBrush, or Substance Painter.
Once your 3d model texturing is completed, for 3d animation projects the next step is rigging the controls for movement.
